Kourtney Kardashian said NO to dates with Travis until shrink pushed

has revealed that she first said no to ‘s many requests for sushi dates and trips to movie theaters to watch romantic comedies.

And it was not until the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star’s therapist stepped in and encouraged her to go out with the drummer that she decided to give Barker a try.

Now the 43-year-old star and the 46-year-old Blink 182 musician are happily married and enjoying their blended family; together they parent six children.

The two were longtime pals living in the same Calabasas, California neighborhood. Their kids often hung out together and that drew them closer.

But when Barker started asking out the pinup on dates, she pulled back.

‘I could never go. I could never,’ she noted.

‘And [the therapist] was like, “Why? You know, he sounds like a good dad.”‘

Barker has kids Alabama and Landon with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. And he also parents Atianna De La Hoya, whose folks are Shanna and Oscar De La Hoya. 

But Kourtney was not ready to get frisky with the rocker: I just was like, “But what if he tried to kiss me or what if he held my hand or what if?”‘ said Kourtney on the podcast.

Eventually Kourtney listened to her therapist and saw a movie with Travis, which led to their romance.

Travis previously admitted that he was ‘fine’ before he started dating Kourtney.

The music star – who has previously been married to Melissa Kennedy and Moakler – admitted he wasn’t particularly looking for love at the time.

He said: ‘[I was] fine with just being single the rest of my life and being a studio rat.’

Despite this, Travis acknowledges that he’s now ‘living again’ after falling in love with Kourtney.

The musician – who married the reality star earlier this year – said: ‘I love my career. I found the love of my life. She’s cured me. It feels like I’m living again.’

The loved-up couple have shared their romance on The Kardashians – but they’re still trying to keep some things ‘sacred’.

Travis explained: ‘I told her, “I never want to jeopardize what we have because it is sacred.”‘

Also on the podcast, Kardashian said she felt ‘pushed’ into having IVF treatment.

The star is keen to have a baby with husband Travis Barker – but she’s now feeling much more philosophical about the situation than she once was.

Kourtney shared: ‘I got to a place where I just felt, like, exactly how timing was everything with me and Travis. I feel – truly – like if it’s meant to be, It’ll happen.’

The brunette beauty and Travis, 46, are ‘done with IVF’ for the time being.

Kourtney also suggested that she was previously pressured into trying the treatment, which helps people dealing with fertility issues.

She said: ‘I felt like we kind of got pushed into doing IVF.’ Kourtney and Travis tied the knot earlier this year.

But the reality star was disappointed by how their romance was overshadowed by Scott’s reaction to their engagement on ‘The Kardashians’.

Kourtney- who split from Scott in 2015 – told the ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast ‘I was upset that they chose to take my fairy tale and like include that part of it. It just bothered me, like, these people that, you know, [are on the] production [team] are, like, making the choice of what my story is.’

Kourtney understands why TV bosses might choose to focus on Scott’s reaction.

But she was still ‘bothered’ by how it was portrayed on screen.

She said: ‘I think it just bothered me because I felt like this is my fairy tale. Yeah. And I was like, ‘Why can’t we show the happy, the happy ending? Why do we have to focus on this?’ And I get it’s TV and blah, blah, blah. To me, I was not having it. I was like, ‘You wouldn’t do this to anyone else.”
